How to build a landing page that gets enquiries

· 2 min read · By the SYNTVEX team

A landing page has one job. It takes someone who clicked an ad or a link and helps them decide whether to contact you. Most of the work is in removing anything that gets in the way.

One goal per page

Decide on a single action: call, WhatsApp or fill in a form. Every part of the page should point to it. Menus with ten links and a footer with more, all lead people away from the action you want.

Match the headline to the ad

If the ad promised "Free site visit for home painting", the page should open with that, not a general company introduction. When the page matches what the visitor clicked on, they stay.

What to show above the fold

  • What you offer and who it is for
  • One line that says why to choose you
  • The button or form to take the next step

Give a reason to trust you

Show real work, real reviews and real contact details. Only use numbers you can back up. A few genuine customer comments do more than a long list of claims.

Keep the form short

Name, phone number and what they need is often enough. Every extra field means fewer people finish it. You can collect more details when you talk to them.

Speed and mobile

Most ad clicks come from phones. If the page takes more than a few seconds to appear, many people leave before it loads and you still pay for the click.

Reply quickly and test one thing at a time

An enquiry is warmest in the first few minutes. Set up alerts so you see new leads immediately. And when you want to improve the page, change one thing at a time, such as the headline or the button text, so you know what made the difference.
